Shadow AI: The Problem Your Policy Must Solve First

The Samsung incident is the canonical warning: three separate engineers pasted proprietary code, software specs, and confidential meeting transcripts into ChatGPT within weeks of each other. In the corporate sector, that's damaging. Your development team is already using AI to draft donor communications. The question is whether your policy provides guidance specific enough to prevent the two failure modes that matter: fabrication and deception.
